Pioneer and Penfield Tournaments

Both the Varsity and JV were on the road over the weekend. The Varsity team traveled to Yorkshire NY and Pioneer High School to compete in a two day dual meet tournament. The team finished in 3rd place overall, Hilton High School claimed the title.

Several wrestlers turned in outstanding performances. Ryan Baronsky at 120 lbs. finished 6-1 on the weekend, this was a great showing for Baronsky as he continues to improve each match. Alex Samson was 7-0 at 132 lbs. and it was in dominate fashion with only one match going the full 6 minutes. At 138 lbs. Tucker Hill finished 7-0 demonstrating outstanding conditioning and technique throughout the weekend. Alex Sidare had his best tournament in his career, things were clicking for him all weekend as he finished 6-1 at 160 lbs. Jack Kumpf looked dominate at 170 lbs. to finish 7-0 and at 182 lbs. Mason Everhart put together a 6-1 record.

The Victor JV Team entered their first tournament of the season at Penfield and had an outstanding 9 individuals finish in the top 4 of their weight class. Finishing in 3rd place were Jakobe VanDamme, Al Skibinski, Trevor Knapp, and Benji Abreu. 4th place finishers were Jaden Tantillo, Payton Boland, Brock Corwin, and Dylan Haubner. Zach Collins had a great tournament capturing 2nd place honors.
